With the Clipper crews arriving at Abell Point Marina in less than a week, it is all hands on deck (excuse the pun) for the restaurant team. With the fleet of vessels berthed on M arm directly in front of the restaurant, Hemingway’s will become a gathering place for the Clipper crew and their supporters.
We are hosting a Clipper Special Lunch for visitors, crew and the community to watch the vessels come into the marina or if they have all already arrived, simply a front row seat displaying these impressive custom-designed ocean racing yachts as they are snugly berthed at the marina. Three courses will be served for lunch, cost is $79 per person. Guaranteed stunning views and relaxed Sunday lunch atmosphere!
Between 3.30 – 5pm daily will be Clipper Hour, where the crew and their race supporters are encouraged to come down and enjoy a cool drink overlooking the marina. If you have ever thought of participating in this great race, then pop down between these times daily and have a chat with the crews about what is involved.
Sunday 21 January we will be the starting point for the Whitsunday Foodservice Progressive Lunch. Oysters and bubbles will be served at Hemingway’s, before the cruise departs to Paradise Cove for lunch and then on to Cape Gloucester Resort for a cheese/ dessert buffet. Book your tickets for this great foodie event.
We will be open for normal lunch and dinner service daily, but bookings are always recommended, especially with the influx of crew over the coming weeks. For the duration of the Carnival we will be serving a slight different lunch menu for all the try.
29 January marks the Parade of Sail and the departure of the Clipper fleet on their next leg to Sanya in China. We will be serving a light brunch menu throughout the morning, so encourage all customers to pop down and enjoy a light meal, whilst watching the vessels depart.
