French pastry chef Sebastien was drawn to Airlie Beach as it is his favourite place in the Australia. Sebastien has worked in hospitality for 14 years, with various roles in his home country of France. Sebastien started work in the Hemingway’s kitchen a few months ago and has been recently promoted to Sous Chef, so plans to stay with us in paradise for a little longer.
Hailing from France, Sebastien has eclectic food tastes and claims he loves to eat everything, but foie gras, truffles, paté and cheese all rate very high on his favorites list. Fish and meat make a close second, so we are guessing that everything is the perfect summary of his food tastes! Although it is noted, there are no vegetables on that list chef?!
If Sebastien was to be stranded on a desert island, his three items which he would take with him would be a speargun for catching fish to eat, a knife and his girls!!
Sebastien’s number on Whitsunday tip: explore by boat. I just bought one and that’s the plan!
Which dish does Sebastien recommend on the Hemingway’s menu – Tropical panna cotta
